Large production under cutting
Silvester is a large leaved variety of white clover, selected for its erect growth and ability to fit well together with tall growing grasses in mixtures. Silvester is able to produce a large amount of forage under cutting, but can of course also be used in mixtures for grazing.
Good forage quality
Silvester has a good and early spring growth, a high tolerance to Sclerotinia and a low content of cyanide, enhancing forage quality.
Very winterhardy
Silvester has shown a remarkable winter hardiness - the best variety in trials 2010-11 under severe frost and snow.
Especially suited to cutting
Silvester has high persistency and is recommended for medium-long term mixtures used for cutting or combined management.
